At MDV we believe that “Perception is Reality on the Web” and by offering the best first impression, you are more likely to have repeat visitors, more visitors, and higher closing margins.

When considering drone videography and photography please observe the following.

Weather

windsock for certified drone videography imageWe will make every attempt to fly on the day of your scheduled appointment.  Sometimes the weather doesn’t always cooperate with us.  When this happens, we will contact you ahead of time if possible to reschedule the shoot. Should the Pilot In Control be en route  or arrive at the property and the weather conditions are not adequate to fly in a safe manner, we will contact you immediately to reschedule.

Licensed vs. non-Licensed
FAA Federal Aviation Administration imageAn FAA Licensed Drone (sUAS) pilot has obtained the necessary Knowledge and Licensing to operate under Part 107 Regulations from the FAA in order to pilot a drone for commercial operations in the U.S.A.

The test that is given covers a wide variety of questions from weather, sectional charts, airspace, temporary flight restrictions and more.  Individuals that have completed the certification are allowed to legally charge for their services.

The FAA now also requires every drone owner to register each drone that is purchased weighing over .55lbs.  If your drone is NOT registered you may be subject to the legal consequences defined in the U.S. Government drone regulation terms.

A Non-Licensed sUAS Pilot has not passed the Licensing Exam and is not allowed to legally charge for their services.  Consequently, using anyone with FAA Cerification puts themselves and the pilot at the risk of being assessed fines and penalties.

Pilot In Control or PIC

work drone Michigan Drone Videography imageWhen your Pilot In Control arrives at the property they will want to walk the property to assess for any hazards or obstacles.  Once they have walked the property and completed their assessment, your Pilot In Control will then begin preparing the craft for take off.  At this point please make sure everyone at the property remains in side while the drone is above the property.  This is to ensure that you Pilot In Control is able to focus on the flight and any obstacles in the area with minimized distractions.

Note:  The Pilot In Control has the final decision after assessing weather, hazards, obstacles, and FAA air space requirements in order to determine if the flight is safe or not.  The Pilot In Control has full authority to terminate the flight at any time for any safety reason.  Should this occur we will return to the property at a later date to complete your order.
